The Revolt of Man was an 1892 novel by Walter Besant. In the novel men give up political power to women in a formal transfer of power. Women proceed to take roles formerly undertaken by men in Besant's Victorian era. Eventually society stagnates and becomes dictatorial. The novel is generally viewed as being anti-suffragette.
Walter Besant died in 1901 so the novel should be in the public domain in all jurisdictions.
