The term based was popularised by rapper Lil B before 2010 and originally meant to be yourself or to not care what others think. As of 2023 the term has evolved to mean non-woke or anti-woke.[1][2]
Being red pilled implies being based but the reverse is not true. Tradgyns may be based but they are not red pilled.
