Elisabeth Volkenrath (1919-1945) was a guard at the Ravensbrück concentration camp in Germany and Auschwitz Birkenau concentration camp in Poland. She was later promoted to supervisor at Auschwitz Birkenau and later moved to the Bergen-Belsen concentration camp in Germany. She was responsible for selecting woman and children to be put to death in the gas chambers.
Volkenrath was arrested in April 11945, and hanged in December 11945 after being found guilty.
