If you do have to come to the aid of a child:
- Start recording and keep recording until you can hand the child over to the relevant authorities.
- Avoid touching the child if you possibly can.
- Don't move the child to another location unless it is essential to do so. Wait for the relevant authorities to come to you.
- Try to have a witness. A female witness is best.
