Mia Desiree Harris is a 43 year old American woman. On 9 December 2023 Harris deliberately shot her own granddaughter in the head during a family dispute. The child, who has not been named, has reportedly undergone two operations and is expected to survive.[1][2][3]
Harris had been charged with multiple offences but pleaded guilty to felonious assault as part of a plea deal. Harris is reportedly facing up to 15 years imprisonment.[4][5][6]
