Dr Michael Joseph Murphy is a psychologist and self-described poet and philosopher.[1] Murphy is licensed in and practices in the state of Massachusetts in the United States.

In response to an article written by Paul Elam Murphy had this, in part, to say:

It may be the case that men, as a testosterone-laden gender, have outlived their usefulness. This is a subject that should be openly discussed - male ferocity and efficient violence is a capacity that now serves the human clan poorly, if at all. Indeed, is it time for us to walk off the stage, and can we do it with some grace, or maybe even to some applause? Men have sacrificed for others for thousands of years, and perhaps the current anti-masculine frenzy, among both males and females, is a reflection that that sacrifice is no longer needed - or wanted. This is a conversation that needs to be had among men, as well as between men and women. Let's stop whining about male victimization - which is of course a reality in which many men participate, and from which many men benefit, and start having the REAL conversation about whether men are needed at all. It is only then that we can clear all this mess up. [2] [3]

The passive-aggressive phrasing in use does not disguise that this is unadulterated misandry.
