Even honest proponents of routine infant circumcision admit the procedure isn't medically necessary. Parental consent only applies to medical *treatment*. Since there is no medically identifiable problem no treatment is needed. Ergo parental consent is not sufficient.

Adult circumcisions tend to retain more foreskin and are more likely to retain the frenulum. As such adult circumcisions tend to be less severe. Claims of men who have had adult circumcisions should be considered in this light.
