Pickup artists (PUAs) are part of a movement that seeks to have regular sex with a wide variety of women. PUAs are generally considered to be part of the manosphere. Many PUAs agree with MRAs and MGTOW about the issues facing men and boys and are anti-feminist. In contrast to MRAs, PUAs believe that societal problems facing men and boys cannot be addressed and that western civilisation will likely fall. Many of them are intent on enjoying the ride.

While the terms pickup artist and PUA were originally pejorative they are now embraced by the community.

China has recently moved to introduce new anti-PUA laws to counter "non-violent acts including brainwashing, manipulation of women, and instigation of female suicide."[1]
