Mary O'Brien is the founder of Are You Bogged Mate?. Mary O'Brien's employment requires her to travel widely in rural areas in Australia. While travelling for work she also talks to rural men about mental health, likening depression to farm equipment that is bogged. As she notes when farm equipment is bogged rural men will call their friends to help extract the equipment and get it working again. She encourages men to do the same when they are bogged as well.
