Negative gynocentrism refers to an overriding focus on negative behaviors of women, along with their impact on relationships and society generally.

Gynocentrism is defined as a dominant focus on women in theory or practice, and the focus is often positive (women are wonderful), or sometimes negative (women are destructive). Perspectives centered in negative appraisals of women are by definition gyno-centric, and the negative behaviors in question may be accurate and statistically common, while becoming the subject of an idée fixe.

Non-gynocentric perspectives, by way of contrast, focus primarily on issues, goals, values, or interests without need to axiomatically juxtapose those things with women's behaviors or influence.
