[[Gary Lineker]] began his professional football career with Leicester City in 1978, later moving to Barcelona in 1981, where he became a key figure in the club's success. Lineker's most famous moment came during the 1986 FIFA World Cup, where he scored England's only goal in the final against Argentina, though the match is widely remembered for Diego Maradona's "Hand of God" and "Goal of the Century" goals. Lineker was named the tournament's top scorer and was awarded the Ballon d'Or later that year, becoming the first and only English player to win the prestigious award.

Lineker later clarified his position, emphasizing his support for the Jewish community and his opposition to antisemitism, while maintaining his criticism of certain aspects of Zionism.
