			Women trained as astronauts alongside the men of the Apollo missions, but they were barred from space flight because they didn't have military flight experience (even though many were pilots). And they didn't have military flight experience because women weren't allowed to fly in the military. Neat trick.
			Programs that incorporate diversity and inclusion open doors to women. It lets them in. DEI policies don't lower the standards, they expand the pool.
			And in Koch's case, they helped her reach the stars.

			EDITED to add: There are some really f*cking stupid people on social media who don't read or understand things. Also, a whole bunch of fragility around the idea of DEI. Sweet Christ people are dumb.
