[[Alecia Beth Moore-Hart]], professionally known as [[Pink]] (often spelled/stylized as P!nk) is an American singer and songwriter.

In 2019, [[Pink]] reacted to celebrities announcing that they did not perform [[Male genital mutilation|routine infant circumcision]] on their sons, responding by posting a half-naked photograph of her toddler son on Instagram with the circumcision wound visible. Amid backlash after the story going viral, [[Pink]] claimed that she did not realize her son was half-naked the photograph, deleted the original photo, and referred to her critics as "f**ing disgusting trolls".

In 2023, she faced backlash after ejecting a concertgoer who was protesting male circumcision during a performance in San Antonio at the Alamodome in September 25th, 2023, in a clear response to the 2019 viral occurrence. During the incident, which occurred mid-show, [[Pink]] called the concertgoer "that cancer", and later defended her actions, claiming that the protest was "disruptive" and "not appropriate" for the event.

In another notable instance, [[Pink]] expressed strong opposition to the overturning of *Roe v. Wade* in 2022. She publicly urged fans who opposed the decision to "NEVER f***ing listen to my music again,". This statement, which appeared on her social media accounts, drew both support and criticism from her audience.

[[Pink]] made several Instagram posts mocking Charlie Kirk's funeral and accusing Kirk of being a white supremacist. Amid backlash, she had deleted the posts.

The [[feminist historical narrative]] is an historical narrative widely believed by [[feminists]] and others. The feminist historical narrative is so pervasive that even many [[non-feminist]]s accept it. It is largely built of lies, half-truths and exaggerations.

History was long and varied. Women's rights varied widely across different times and places.

The feminist historical narrative covers many areas. Selected examples are presented here.

== Oppression ==

Feminists argue that women have historically been systemically oppressed by men. This is at the centre of much of the outrage that feminists exhibit.

Feminists tend to disagree on how long this apparent oppression went on for. Some say it lasted for a few thousand years while other argue it has existed as long as humans have existed. The narrative goes on to claim that women were freed by [[feminist]]s during the 20th century although they also often claim that women still need to be freed from the [[Patriarchy]]. The prevalence of women in the public sphere throughout history clearly shows falsity of this claim.

History is replete with examples of women that were allowed to adopt male roles when they wanted to. It may be that these women were perceived by contemporary men as being particularly competent.

Some feminists have even gone on to claim that women were slaves throughout history. Claims that women could not own property or did not have any rights are more common. These claims, to the extent that they were ever true, can also be examples of the [[Victorian fallacy]].

Nunneries have operated continuously for centuries too but they did not operate in a purely single-sex environment since they were under the supervision of the church hierarchy which was invariably male.

There are plenty of examples of male-only institutions lasting centuries. Are there any examples of purely female-only institutions that lasted for a comparable length of time?

The hypothesis that men naturally form hierarchical power structures while women seek to govern by consensus may explain this difference in effective institutions.
